The records came to the Oklahoma Historical Society after Congress passed legislation giving the OHS custody of the materials. The Oklahoma Historical Society has announced the line-up and theme for the 2021 Oklahoma History Conference. This year's conference will feature Muscogee Creek poet, playwright and author Joy Oklahoma County marriages, 1889–1951 This microfilm was created by the LDS Church from the original marriage records housed at the Oklahoma County courthouse in Oklahoma City.
